Over
the past decade ACADÉMIE LINGUISTIQUE INTERNATIONALE
(A.L.I.) has developed a reputation for providing exceptional
language training to residents of the city of Montreal (our
local students). Ideally located downtown, between the Lucien-L’Allier
(on the Orange Line) and Guy-Concordia (on the Green Line)
Métro Stations, A.L.I. offers both part-time
and full-time programs at affordable rates. The communicative
method used at A.L.I. strongly emphasizes conversation although
grammar is not neglected for that. The maximum number of
students in group classes is sixteen.

To ensure that our local students receive quality instruction
A.L.I. hires teachers who are:

native speakers of the target language; |
|
university graduates; |
|
certified second language instructors; |
|
equipped with at least 2 years of teaching experience; and |
|
dynamic and interesting. |
Each student wishing
to study at A.L.I. takes a thorough placement test in the language
of study to evaluate his/her oral and written skills. Based on the
results, A.L.I. recommends a start level to the student. The student
chooses the type of program (part-time, full-time, semi-private
or private) and courses begin.
