I was very impressed by the volume and pertinence of information that we received throughout the TESL program. Although the 8-week course is quite intense (covering a great variety of topics, from teaching techniques to overseas teaching opportunities to classroom management), the delivery of the course was very user-friendly and hands-on. Our instructors were always attentive to our needs and closely monitored our progress to ensure we got the most out of the program. Not only do I now have the skills and confidence to enter the ESL job market, but I also have a support network that I can rely on to help me achieve my professional goals.

When I first signed up for the TESL course, I had no idea what to expect. It had been several years since I'd seen the inside of a classroom, but my apprehension melted away within the first five minutes of the program when I saw how fun language learning can be. In the ALI TESL program I learned that a teacher is a pedagogue, but also a friend, confidant, motivator, coach, actor, and leader, and most of all a teacher is an individual who sparks the intellect and encourages students to pursue knowledge on their own.
